From the Web: ‘A Look at the Nation’s Credit Scores by State’

Report from LendEDU ranks how states are performing financially.


The credit score, an important indicator of financial health, is one measure agencies in the credit and collection industry could keep in mind when helping consumers resolve their accounts.

A recent report “A Look at the Nation’s Credit Scores by State” from LendEDU finds that the national average credit score was 682 and 29 states have an above-average credit score. Credit scores show consumers’ financial history and credit and debt obligations. Minnesota has the highest credit score, 722 and Mississippi has the lowest, at 648, according to the report.
