ACA International has its finger on the pulse of ever-changing technology as it led members to join forces to form a new committee focused on technology trends, curriculum and education content.
“Technology in the accounts receivable management industry is evolving at light speed these days. It is imperative that ACA International’s members are exposed to the latest and greatest technological innovations available and most importantly, how to use them in their day to day business,” said Roger Weiss, IFCCE, president of ACA's Board of Directors. “With that in mind, we have created the Technology and Innovation Committee to provide the members’ expertise in creating a technology-focused curriculum in collaboration with ACA staff in the coming year.”
The committee, chaired by John Bedard, owner of Bedard Law Group P.C., is focused on interesting goals in its inaugural year.
“First, we want to provide association members with great information about emerging technologies that should be usable for different sized member companies, including operational suggestions, and identify compliance benefits and risks,” Bedard said. “Second, we provide ACA staff with educational recommendations, including content and format delivery, for member technology curriculum.”
Members can expect technology-focused sessions at Spring Forum 2020 as the committee explores and develops new ways for members to access educational content, such as ACA SearchPoint documents, Bedard explained.
“I love learning about the latest and greatest tech tools available to the collection industry and contributing that passion to the ACA technology committee for the benefit of all members,” he said.
