Networking opportunities for young professionals, new members and longtime participants in ACA events are all available at the ACA International 2022 Convention & Expo July 20-22 in Orlando.

We have just over a month to go until our flagship event of the year—now is the time to register and book your hotel room online before the June 24 room rate cutoff.

Hotel Reservations

Book your room at the Rosen Shingle Creek online under the hotel tab on ACA’s convention website. A limited number of rooms are blocked off for ACA attendees; therefore, we cannot guarantee rooms will be available through the reservation deadline. Make your reservations early!

Find Your Network

In addition to education and business solutions in the Expo Hall, the three-day conference features networking opportunities to connect with colleagues and meet new contacts.

Convention is ACA’s biggest event of the year, bringing together members and accounts receivable management (ARM) industry professionals who are part of your community. This is the event where you can build new friendships that can last a lifetime.

Here are a few ways ACA is helping you connect with your people:

  • ACA will host a First Timers & New Members Reception and a Young Professionals Reception before the official kickoff of convention, giving you a chance to meet professionals and learn about their background and work in the industry. You can even make plans to attend sessions together.
  • The breakout education sessions are another way to discuss industry hot topics with your peers. With more than 25 sessions to choose from, you’ll walk away with a breadth of knowledge to share and implement at your company.
  • There will be fun activities too, including your chance at ax-throwing with your peers at Stumpy’s Hatchet House, as well as events for women in collections and the President’s Closing Celebration.

We can’t wait to see you in July!

Featured Education

Members on LinkedIn recently told us in a poll that education is their top priority at the annual convention.

Check out these featured sessions:

Get Your Company Ready for the New Safeguards Rule

Thursday, July 21, 9:20-10:10 a.m.

Collection agencies engaged in consumer debt collection have until Dec. 9, 2022, to align their data protection programs with recent regulatory amendments to the Safeguards Rule from the Federal Trade Commission. Changes to the Safeguards Rule now require covered entities to implement particular procedures and controls and impact companies large and small, as well as the vendors serving them. The panelists in this session will discuss how small and medium enterprises can economically undertake the necessary steps to come into compliance.

How to Prepare for Another Industry Transformation: Blockchain

Thursday, July 21, 2-2:50 p.m.

Are you wondering about the “blockchain” technology buzz? Will this new technology disrupt and transform the ARM industry? Join this session to hear directly from experts and operators in the ARM industry on how they are readying their businesses to welcome this new technology.

(Legal Education – Members Only) Comprehensive Risk Management in the Age of Regulation F

Friday, July 22, 2:50-3:50 p.m.

This session will explore the impact of Reg F on debt collectors and present strategies that debt collectors can use to manage compliance risks and prepare for regulatory and private plaintiff scrutiny. The session will focus on the importance of a strong risk and enterprise-wide compliance management system with cross-functionality.

Up to seven CLE credits are available through legal sessions at convention. ACA will apply for CLE credits for all states requested by attendees. Requests must be submitted by June 17, 2022. Please note that approval from each state is not guaranteed, and legal education sessions are for ACA members only.

Make Your Blueprint

If you’re attending Convention, join us a day early by adding our Blueprint Quality Management System Workshop training to your registration. Show your clients that your agency is one they can trust by pursuing the Blueprint Quality Management System certification. Blueprint is the redesigned and modernized Professional Practices Management System (PPMS). Held one day before the convention kicks off, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, this Blueprint workshop is the first step to initial certification and is worth seven PDUs. The 18 elements presented will help organizations cut down on the number of mistakes it makes, improve inter-departmental communication, efficiently resolve client issues, and improve their bottom-line. Learn more about Blueprint certification online here.
