How ACA International built its financial literacy efforts.

Community outreach takes many forms. ACA International’s 80-year history is anchored by its commitment not only to volunteerism and charitable donations, but also to educating consumers on the fundamentals of money management.
With that in mind, the association’s financial education efforts date back to as early as 1967, when the association launched the national Pay Your Bills Week campaign to inform the public of their obligations when using credit.
Building on that effort, ACA embraced the national program Business Week in 1980, which was designed to connect high school and college students with business professionals, so they could learn about the private enterprise system, shown above in a 1980 meeting.
