A collection call can be a stressful experience, even for the most seasoned collector, but ACA International is here to help with effective strategies and compliance tools in the newly redesigned Fair Debt Collection Practices Act Computer Based Training.
Not only does the training program provide your collectors with a solid foundation to communicate effectively with consumers and apply those concepts during collection calls, but it also features the most crucial aspects collectors need to know about the law and how to apply what they know when communicating with consumers.
“This product is one of the most popular and useful tools in member offices across the country,” said ACA’s Education and Membership Development Director Harry Strausser III. “We anticipate hundreds of offices will appreciate the update of this dynamic course.”
The course may be completed in approximately two hours and collectors may take it all at once or in short modules. A Certificate of Completion is available upon finishing the course, which is also a prerequisite for the Professional Collection Specialist (PCS) Designation.
The computer-based training is available through a flash drive, as a hosted course on ACA’s LMS platform or via special licensing for use on your company’s internal Learning Management System. The program comes complete with interactive exercises, scenarios, quizzes, a printable study guide, final quiz and the Certificate of Completion.
It’s a valuable refresher on critical compliance techniques and vital for new collectors in the field.
Completing the training serves as preparation to identify restrictions on the timing of collection calls; determine a right party contact and refrain from third-party disclosures; recognize and respond appropriately to consumer disputes, cease consumer communication requests; and much more.
