An important opportunity for attorney members and compliance professionals to advance their education will be featured again this year during the 2019 Campus ACA Academy at Spring Forum & Expo March 13-15 at the M Resort, Las Vegas. Reserve your spot for the Spring Forum & Expo by Jan. 31, 2019 for early-bird registration savings.
The educational program, one of the prerequisites for earning the accreditation for credit and compliance attorneys, will be taught at Spring Forum by seasoned Certified Instructors Debra Ciskey, IFCCE and Leslie Bender, IFCCE, CCCO. This two-day intensive program, March 14-15, will cover several bodies of knowledge and will be offered in an interactive format.
Attorneys with a foundation in the various consumer financial protection laws (the “CFPLs”) and compliance officers should participate in this CCCA program. The program provides a unique opportunity to look at how CFPLs come together functionally and participants will explore strategies for building compliance programs around the CFPLs, including meaningful training programs.
The bodies of knowledge highlighted in this dynamic program include:
- Making your compliance artifacts accessible and communicating about them to your workforce and top management;
- Designing evaluation and monitoring programs for your organization that weave your compliance objectives through this feedback loop;
- Conducting effective internal investigations whether incident and/or complaint handling; and
- Getting good at change and project management as your compliance management system matures.
Compliance officers are also welcome to attend the Credit and Collection Compliance Attorney Credentialing Program to earn six Professional Development Units, which can be applied to renew your Credit and Collections Compliance Officer (CCCO) designation.
ACA International has applied for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits. ACA International believes the Credit and Collection Compliance Attorney (CCCA) Credentialing Program will receive approximately six credit hours, including 1.5 credit hours for ethics. In the alternative, attendees can secure CLE credit on an individualized basis by submitting information regarding their attendance at the Credit and Collection Compliance Attorney (CCCA) Credentialing Program to their state CLE board. ACA will update this information as credit approvals are received.
In addition to the new CCCA program, ACA International is offering the complete curriculum to earn a Credit and Collection Compliance Officer (CCCO), Professional Collection Management (PCM), and Collection Industry Professional (CIP) designations during the Campus ACA Academy at Spring Forum & Expo.
There are some courses that apply to both the PCM and CIP designations. Visit ACA International’s website for more details on each designation.
Attendees may also earn four Professional Development Units (PDUs) each, by adding on the Professional Practices Management Systems pre-event sessions.
