ACA International’s CORE Curriculum seminars are an important source of regulatory, business and management knowledge at any stage of your career. Certified instructors and ACA members working in the accounts receivable management industry lead these seminars on a regular basis to provide education on topics ranging from advanced compliance to introductory collector training.
Coming up this month, Amy Canaday, director of marketing and public relations at Collection Center Inc., will lead the CORE: Effective Performance Management Seminar Dec. 18.
This seminar will provide the skills to effectively coach and manage your employees to achieve successful business results while creating and maintaining a positive work environment. Topics include giving everyday feedback and annual/midyear/monthly performance reviews, discipline and corrective action.
Participants will earn .75 Professional Development Units (PDUs) for this online seminar, which can be applied toward the Scholar and Fellow designations.
Data Security Refresher
From Dec. 19-20, Certified Instructor Leslie Bender, IFCCE, chief strategy officer and general counsel of BCA Financial Services Inc., will present CORE: Data Security and Privacy II.
Data security breaches affect millions of consumers. In this seminar, the sequel to Data Security and Privacy I, participants will learn to explore some practical privacy and data security tactics for using movable and removable media, including “bring your own device” in your workplace. Participants will also be introduced to a compliance perspective for social media and networking at work and be offered practical advice for handling security incidents in your own organization.
This seminar includes 1.50 PDUs, which can be applied toward ACA’s Scholar and Fellow designations.
