Collectors Insurance Agency, Inc. (CIA) Strengthens Partnership with QBE

Collectors Insurance Agency (CIA) and ACA International participated in an in-depth audit of their underwriting compliance, premium accounting practices and information technology policies and procedures the week of March 12. QBE North America conducted the audit.  Intended to find areas needing improvement and correction, the audit concluded that there was no error in CIA’s or ACA’s overall handling of the program, further strengthening QBE’s partnership with CIA, ACA and its members.

“As the 50th anniversary of ACA’s E&O Program approaches, CIA’s continued underwriting authority will go a long way to provide this vital coverage for ACA’s membership well into the future,” said ACA International CEO Mark Neeb.

“It is important that QBE’s management knows how much we value the program and our partnership.  I believe we demonstrate that with the care we take in our approach towards the program’s management,” added Janis St. Martin, vice president of CIA.

The insurance marketplace is volatile and so a stable program is very important to ACA’s members. It is vital that CIA provide tailored coverage and service for each individual member while adhering to the underwriting guidelines. This balance maintains the program’s health and continued availability of sound coverage.  To further help members succeed, CIA functions as an extension of the individual insured’s operations, coordinating the services of insurance and claim professionals that have invested significant resources towards ACA’s E&O and Crime Program.

“Given the inherent volatility of the insurance marketplace, we are happy we can provide stability to our clients and ACA’s membership,” said Michelle Anderson, assistant vice president and lead program underwriter at QBE North America. “We look forward to many more years of working together.”

CIA thanks the members for their continued support and everyone who works so hard to provide this valuable benefit, including George Ceaser, Insurance Unit Manager; Alex Wagner and Travis Coles, Client Service Representatives; Dereck Tessmer, Sales Manager; Kristina Warmka, CIA Administrator; Andrew Sieberg (and team), Director of Accounting; Pheng Yang (and team), Director of IT; member attorneys serving on the defense and CNR panels and the representatives from QBE and Aon Risk Services.
