The ACA member company’s employees chose to support the organization with fundraisers in March and April because of its impact in the local community.
Coast Professional, Inc. (Coast) recently presented a check for $13,060 to Make-A-Wish Western New York at the company’s New York offices.
Coast’s donation is a result of the company’s dress down for charity program in which employees donate $20 or more for the option to wear jeans and business casual attire for the month, according to a news release. This donation includes the employee contributions from Coast’s Geneseo and Henrietta, N.Y. offices and the company match of up to $1,000 per office. In order to allow staff from both offices to participate in the check presentations, separate events were held in each office on May 10 and 11.
The employees of Coast selected Make-A-Wish as the recipient of the charity dress down program for March and April because of the impact of Make-A-Wish in the local area. The employees vote bimonthly for the charity that will receive the donations raised through the dress down program for the upcoming period.
All proceeds from the event will benefit local families and help support Make-A-Wish Western New York’s mission to grant the wishes of children faced with the strain of a critical illness and transform lives one wish at a time.
“Part of Coast’s mission is to inspire an appreciation of charity throughout our organization,” said Brian Davis, CEO and co-chairman of the board for Coast Professional, Inc. in the news release. “It is incredibly rewarding to see our staff come together and support the efforts of a local organization that has a profound impact on children and families in the Greater Rochester area. We are incredibly proud to be able to present this donation to Make-A-Wish Western New York.”
