The roundtable event in Minneapolis focused on issues affecting the local business community.

Ted Smith, ACA International’s vice president of operations, represented ACA at a roundtable discussion hosted by Minnesota Republican U.S. Reps. Jason Lewis and Erik Paulsen. Outgoing House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., and U.S. Rep. Tom Emmer, R-Minn., were also in attendance at the event Monday in Minneapolis.
During the event, Smith joined a roundtable discussion with the group including insights into the 2018 election. Smith also built on a discussion with Paulsen during his August visit to ACA International’s Minneapolis headquarters focused on supporting Telephone Consumer Protection Act reform by the Federal Communications Commission.
Members of the U.S. House of Representatives will be in their home districts until the elections Nov. 6 connecting with constituents individually and at various other events such as town hall meetings. Accounts receivable management industry professionals are encouraged to reach out to their representatives to discuss legislative priorities in advance of the Tuesday, Nov. 6, midterm elections and throughout the year.
ACA International has many resources available on its Advocacy Action Center and you may visit congress.gov to plan an agency tour and find your local representative. Contact your policymakers’ district office to improve your chance of scheduling an agency tour. And, be sure to visit your representative’s official website for background information and an updated list of their critical issues.
The midterm elections are extremely important to the future of the accounts receivable management industry, so we encourage you to vote!
