Each year, ACA International recognizes outstanding members who have selflessly dedicated their time and talents to the accounts receivable management industry. The association is currently accepting nominations and applications for several awards.
All ACA members are invited to submit nominations or apply for the following honors:
- The ACA International Member of the Year Award is presented to a member who has done the most for the accounts receivable management industry in the preceding 12 months.
- The International Fellowship of Certified Collection Executives recognizes members who have demonstrated their commitment to the industry and their communities through ongoing involvement.
- The James K. Erickson Continuous Service Award is presented to a member who, through positions of leadership, has made contributions to the association in each of at least 10 past consecutive years.
- The Jonathan Elliot Judicial Advocacy Award recognizes an individual attorney from an ACA member company in good standing who in the past year has been an outstanding advocate on behalf of the accounts receivable management industry. These ACA awards are given only when outstanding candidates are identified; it is not mandatory that an award be presented annually.
- The Janis St. Martin Industry Champion Award. Janis St. Martin was the vice president of Collectors Insurance Agency, a wholly owned subsidiary of ACA International, who passed away in 2019. Her namesake award is given to the ACA member who most exemplifies St. Martin’s spirit of protecting the accounts receivable management industry from those who would seek to profit by pursuing meritless claims, which negatively impacts industry participants.
The ACA president and CEO select the awards jointly.
To submit a nomination for an award, write a letter that includes a list of reasons why the nominee is deserving of the honor and send it to: Jessica Hartmann, ACA International, 3200 Courthouse Ln, Eagan, MN 55121-1585; fax: (952) 926-1624; or email [email protected].
To apply for the International Fellowship of Certified Collection Executives, visit the ACA member awards website. Nominations and applications should be received no later than June 1, 2020.
