ACA International to Manage the Georgia Collectors Association

As part of its ongoing effort to help members succeed, ACA International CEO Mark Neeb announced that the association assumed management responsibilities of the Georgia Collectors Association (GCA) beginning June 1, 2019

“State affiliates contribute to ACA International’s ability to maintain its position as the leading voice of the accounts receivable management industry,” Neeb said. “Members of the Georgia Collectors Association are among ACA International’s most committed, exceptional leaders who bring tremendous economic value to the Peach State and the overall industry. ACA International looks forward to building stronger relationships with ARM professionals in Georgia as a result of this management transition.”

An Ernst & Young survey conducted on behalf of ACA International in 2016 said there were 4,500 ARM professionals in Georgia who returned $2.4 billion in debt to creditors.

Meanwhile, GCA president Michael Jeselnik characterized the management transition as a positive move for ACA as well as GCA’s current members – and potential members. “ACA International’s world-class staff has the competencies necessary to lead the GCA to a higher level that will generate increased membership and interest. We are excited about the future of GCA and the unlimited opportunities that are expected to arise from this new chapter of our history.”

ACA International will provide GCA with executive leadership, strategic guidance and will manage all business functions to include finance and accounting, marketing communications, membership processing and administrative support. ACA staff member Tammy Schoenberg will serve as GCA’s Interim Executive Director with a permanent Executive Director to be named later.

Many members may not be aware that ACA manages several related entities such as the International Association of Commercial Collectors, the Great Lakes Credit and Collection Association and the ACA Foundation, and provides contract services to some units as well. This is an area ACA is looks forward to growing in the future.
