For Eric Snyder, working in the accounts receivable management industry is a family affair.

“My grandfather started Richland Bureau of Credit (RBC) Inc. in 1948 and my father and grandmother also worked there,” Snyder said in an interview with local radio station WMAN-FM for its “CEO You Should Know” program.

Snyder, IFCCE, is now the owner and president of RBC Inc. in Mansfield, Ohio, and his son came on board about two years ago. He is a past president of the Ohio Receivables Management Association.

“It’s been a very rewarding career for me,” he said.

Snyder started with RBC in 1984 and his great-grandfather was also an attorney in the industry.

“We have found a natural connection to our community because we work with people at the business level and consumer level,” Snyder said.

RBC employs about 13 people, including many loyal, long-time employees.

“We’re dealing with consumers in distress. We really endeavor to be a friendly ear [to consumers],” Snyder said.

Snyder plays music in his spare time and earned a degree in jazz performance from Capital University.
