The down ballot elections will have a huge impact on Nov. 3 and could reshape the legislative and political landscape for the next decade. What does that mean for the accounts receivable management (ARM) industry? This week’s ACA Huddle, 11 a.m. CDT, Wednesday, Oct. 28, will explore the state-level elections and the possible impact the results could have on ACA members. Over the next week, candidates for governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general and in state legislatures will make their closing arguments and final pleas for votes.
Vice President of State Government and Unit Affairs Andrew Madden will detail what is at stake and explore how possible changes in party control of state legislatures and executive branches could impact the ARM industry in the ACA Huddle, “2020 State-Level Elections: How Could They Impact the Industry?”
This ACA Huddle will dive further into the current legislative and regulatory environment facing the industry at the state level and discuss ways the election could impact it.
The ACA Huddle also features a daily update on the current landscape for ARM industry businesses as both the federal and state governments are discussing or enacting legislation and regulations that will impact the collection activity and business operations of our member agencies. ACA’s advocacy and compliance teams are tracking this activity and will provide members with updates on the current landscape for receivables businesses. Join the ACA Huddle each week to stay up to date on the rules of the game.
The ACA Huddle is a members-only event, and a one-time Zoom registration is required. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar. If you have any questions about the log in process, please contact [email protected].
