2021 brought many changes to the accounts receivable management (ARM) industry—with the groundbreaking Hunstein case, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s Regulation F that took effect Nov. 30, pandemic-related adjustments and more.
ACA Cast episodes reflected these changes this year and covered the merits of industry lawsuits, Reg F compliance, and business growth with technology, among other topics —with ACA International’s Director of Education Kelli Krueger leading many of the top episodes and paving the way for 2022.
In October 2018, ACA International launched ACA Cast, a podcast focused on providing ACA members, policymakers, the media and other stakeholders with important information and analysis related to the ARM industry.
Since then, the podcast has evolved into a hub for members and ACA leadership to discuss compliance, industry laws, advocacy, management and operations best practices as well as trends in technology.
In 2021, we released 13 episodes of ACA Cast, which totaled over 428 minutes of content. As it grows in popularity, it’s been downloaded more and more, including over 2,099 downloads this past year and more than 17,000 since it was launched.
Some of the most popular episodes include “Connecting the Dots in the 11th Circuit Hunstein Case,” the number one episode for 2021, with over 250 downloads; “The Merits of Industry Lawsuits;” and “Getting Started with Text Messaging.” If you’ve missed these or any of the other episodes, you can listen to them on the ACA Cast webpage.
Some recent episodes worth revisiting include “Optimizing Consumer Outreach & Reg F Compliance,” “Planning for the Unplanned: The Soft Touch to Health Care Collections,” and “Driving Business Growth Through Technology.”
As we move forward into the new year, ACA is looking to continue to bring important information to the ARM industry through ACA Cast.
