ACA International, the Association of Credit and Collection Professionals (ACA), contributes to the success and the positive reputation of the credit and collection industry through education, advocacy and services. Founded in 1939, ACA brings together thousands of members worldwide, including third-party collection agencies, asset buying companies, attorneys, creditors and vendor affiliates. ACA establishes ethical standards, produces a wide variety of products, services and publications, and articulates the value of the credit and collection industry to U.S. businesses, policymakers and consumers.
Company Membership in ACA International
ACA International is the premier trade association for debt collection companies. Internationally there are about 250 company members representing more than 60 countries. ACA brings industry colleagues together for the opportunity to share information and learn about credit and collection operations and trends.
ACA members have access to many resources. In addition, members may purchase additional products and services at rates significantly less than those charged to the public. ACA’s publications and website are printed in English.
Company membership is by location. The annual dues are USD $210 for each international collection company office (when located outside the 50 United States of America). - Complimentary listing in ACA’s Online Membership Directory
The member directory is a critical point of connection for members and the public. It lists all ACA member companies, creditors, and affiliate vendors. Your company’s listing is complimentary and can include a direct link to your website.
- Complimentary subscription to the digital edition of Collector™ magazine (in English)
Read and circulated by more than 4,500 individuals in the United States and around the world for over 75 years, Collector magazine features articles on current industry operations and trends, as well as U.S. market regulations and legislation, and global news. International members receive a monthly email linking to the complete issue in digital form on the Web. They also may purchase print copies or advertise at a discount.

- Representation on the ACA International Council of Delegates
International Unit (IU) members elect peers to the unit’s board of directors in six regions: Africa; Asia/Middle East, Australia/New Zealand including the island nations of Oceania; Europe; Latin America/Caribbean, and Canada. The IU Board of Directors represent the unit on the ACA International Council of Delegates.
- Asset Buyers
This specialized section of ACA is for companies that buy and sell accounts receivable. Company members who are interested in asset buying/selling may participate in the Asset Buying discussion group on The Hub at no additional cost.
- Members’ Attorney Program
Access resources including current legislative and case law information so you can better represent member and industry interests. Stay current with summaries of relevant court decisions via the ACA Daily® Friday edition and connect with fellow attorneys through The Hub’s exclusive attorney-only community. To participate, attorneys must certify they do not represent consumers against collection agencies, asset buyers or credit grantors. Licensed attorneys at member companies and firms may download a MAP participation form.
