The ACA International MAP Committee is pleased to announce a Legal Education teleseminar series, consisting of six teleseminars specifically designed for attorney members. This series is available to members only.
Why Should I Attend?
Our world—and the accounts receivables management world—are changing rapidly.
More and more often, a unique situation arises in a collection agency or an unusual case comes through the door of a law firm that makes you stop and think of how the myriad of rules and regulations governing debt collection may apply. Even in the most basic and routine circumstances, the debt collection process can be challenging. Add any sort of complexity to an account, and things get even tougher.
This seminar will help you understand and analyze both simple and complex specialty collection law issues. During this seminar, we’ll tackle both ongoing and emerging issues that will help you protect your collection agency and your clients from costly mistakes and legal blunders.
This seminar will focus on:
- common and oddball bankruptcy scenarios—and the answers
- thorny situations for represented consumers
- special considerations involving collecting debt from service members
- confounding issues of estate collections
- novel medical debt collection issues, and more.
ACA will apply for CLE credits for each seminar in the series following the presentation.
