Why Should I Attend?

The potential for Unfair, Deceptive, or Abusive Acts or Practices (UDAAP) encompasses the entire financial services industry. UDAAP must be reflected in your Compliance Management System (CMS) and controls applied in business relationships with service providers, vendors, and clients. Recognizing, preventing and managing UDAAP risk involves skill and integrity.  If any aspect of your business is consumer-facing, keep UDAAP compliance in the spotlight. (90 minutes, .75 PDUs)

This course will prepare you to:

  • Define UDAAP based on guidance provided by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) as issued in an  official policy statement issued January 24, 2020.
  • Identify potential UDAAP risks and harm from the consumer’s perspective.
  • Integrate UDAAP into a CMS regarding Board and Management Oversight and other controls required by the CFPB.
  • Develop a UDAAP risk assessment plan for service provider and client oversight.
