Karolyn Rubin

ACA Executive Committee Member, President of ACA International


Karolyn RubinKarolyn Rubin is senior vice president and the third generation of the family owned and managed business, Bonded Collection Corporation in Chicago. She has been with the company for 23 years. Her responsibilities include new business development, sales and client service departments, operational overview and training programs. 

Karolyn has over 23 years of industry experience and achievements and has been involved in the association at both the local and national levels. Karolyn is past president of the Illinois Collectors Association and has held various director, chair and committee positions. On a national level, Karolyn has served as an ACA Certified Instructor, an ACA National Director, and has served on the Education Council and ACPAC committees of ACA International. She has been the recipient of several awards in recognition for her contributions to the association, including the prestigious Kurt Swersky Award for leadership, the Fred Kirschner Instructor Achievement Award for seminars conducted in 2005 and the Charles Lindemann Award for Instructor of the Year, 2006.

In July 2009 Karolyn was confirmed President of ACA International.


In February 2005 Karolyn was appointed by the Governor of Illinois to the Illinois Collection Agency Licensing and Disciplinary Board of the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. In February of 2008 she was asked and accepted serving a second term She was also the recipient of the 2005 Top 25 Most Influential Collection Professionals awarded by CollectionAdvisor magazine. In 2008 Karolyn was recognized as one of the Top Five Women in Collections by Credit and Collection Risk Magazine.


Karolyn holds a bachelor's degree from Columbia College in broadcast communication. She has served on the board of directors for many organizations including Between Friends – a not-for-profit organization against domestic violence, a member of the Sisterhood Chapter at Temple Beth El and The Transportation Revenue Management Group.

Karolyn resides in Northbrook, Ill., with her son, Rudy. In her spare time, Karolyn is an accomplished marathoner and kick boxer.
