Tom Stockton is ACA International’s 2012/13 president. He was one of the three original founders of The CMI Group when it was established in 1985. He has been president since 1987 and CEO since 1997.
Tom began his career in the cable television industry in 1971 as a sales executive for Dolphin Communications. He has been in active management in the collection business for more than 30 years. He is a certified collector and holds an ACA International Scholar Degree in collection business management. He is a 1998 recipient of the Beacon Award for outstanding support and leadership in helping advance ACA’s federal legislative initiatives.
Tom has served as president of the Texas Unit and has received both the Al Knox and Chris Crowley awards for outstanding service in Texas. As president and CEO of The CMI Group, Tom continues in active day-to-day management.
Tom currently resides in Frisco with his wife Sandy and their daughter Katy. Their eldest son James and his wife Ali, recent Baylor graduates, also live in Frisco, and their sons, Danny and Zachary, attend Baylor University.
