Video: ACA Goes Global

The Bylaws and Standard Operating Procedures of ACA International provide for an International Unit (IU), which currently represents over 325 collection and related company members in more than 60 countries.

The IU is divided into five regions with an IU Director for each region:

(1) Africa

(2) Asia/Middle East (including Russia)

(3) Australia/New Zealand (including the island nations of Oceania)

(4) Europe

(5) The Americas (excluding the United States)

International members in each region vote by electronic ballot in early summer to elect their representative to the IU Board of Directors.  Election results are announced at the IU Annual Meeting held in conjunction with ACA's Annual Convention in July. The IU Board of Directors elects its officers and these individuals represent the IU to the ACA International Board of Directors. The International Unit (IU) is entitled to a total of four director positions on the ACA International Board of Directors.  IU Directors are limited to only those individuals whose business, or any portion thereof, is related to the collection of third-party debt.
