ACA International, the Association of Credit and Collection Professionals (ACA), is the comprehensive, knowledge-based resource for success in the credit and collection industry. Founded in 1939, ACA brings together more than 5,500 members worldwide, including third-party debt collection agencies, attorneys, creditors and vendor affiliates. The association establishes ethical standards, produces a wide variety of products, services and publications, and articulates the value of the credit and collection industry to businesses, policymakers and consumers.

Agency Membership in ACA International
ACA International is the largest trade association for third-party debt collection services in the world. There are more than 300 international agency members representing more than 60 countries. ACA brings these members together for the opportunity to share information about international collection industry operations and changes in the global marketplace.
ACA agency (company) members have access to many resources. In addition, members may purchase other products and services at rates significantly less that those charged to the public. ACA’s publications and Web site are printed in English.
The annual membership dues are $210 USD for an international collection company (agencies located outside the 50 United States of America). Following is a list of the most popular benefits included in the membership dues for collection companies in international locales.

Read and circulated by more than 6,000 industry executives in the United States and around the world for over 65 years, Collector magazine features articles on current industry operations and trends, as well as U.S. market regulations and legislation, and global news. International members receive a monthly e-mail linking to the complete issue in digital form on the Web. The premiere event in the credit and collection industry, ACA’s Annual Convention is held in the United States and brings together more than 1,200 attendees from around the world. The International Unit hosts its annual members’ meeting during the convention. MAP, a division of ACA, offers resources to help defense and in-house attorneys better represent ACA members’ interests in the United States. In addition, MAP is interested in developing participation among attorneys with international practices. To join MAP, the attorney must be sponsored by an ACA member and certify that he/she does not represent consumers against collection agencies or credit grantors. MAP is an individual membership.
