ORDERING INFORMATION AND SECURITY
We take appropriate steps to protect the information you share with us from being seen or accessed by unauthorized users. When you order products or services from the ACA Web site and you transmit your credit card number, your name, business location and credit card number are transmitted to us by way of a secure server. This way no one but the necessary ACA staff will have access to your information.
In most ordering situations, you may also have ACA bill you by providing your member number. This way it will not be necessary for you to enter a credit card number if you do not wish to. A secure server is only used when the option of sending a credit card number is given. The majority of forms submitted online make available only the option of billing the user’s membership. When billing the user’s membership account is the only option given, the order is sent via non-secured e-mail to ACA’s Member Services Department.
Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser to enable our systems to recognize your browser and to provide features such as member login, poll information, evaluations, and storage of items in your shopping cart between visits.
The “help” portion of the toolbar on most browsers will tell you how to prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, how to have the browser notify you when you receive a new cookie, or how to disable cookies altogether. However, cookies allow you to take full advantage of some of ACA International features, and we recommend that you leave them turned on.
