Step 1: Download Adobe Reader free from the Adobe Reader download page on Adobe’s Web site.
Step 2: Set PDF file type to open with Adobe Reader (Windows).
- Right-click on an existing PDF file on your computer.
- Choose Open With > Choose Program from the pop-up menu.
- In the Open With dialog box, select the application with which you want to associate the file format.
- If Adobe Reader isn’t listed, click Browse to locate and select the desired application.
- Select "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file", and click OK.
