Browsers Versions
Many organizations continue to rely on Internet Explorer 6 (IE6) because their older Web applications only function with IE6.  Using older versions of browsers can cause difficulties, such as:

  • Data not displaying on part or all of the screen.
  • Buttons, images, icons, etc. disappearing.
  • Blank windows on the screen.
  • Errors, etc.

If older Web applications prevent you from upgrading to the latest version of Microsoft Internet Explorer, we suggest installing a secondary browser. The latest versions of these browsers work very well and are free:

You many need to talk with your IT department to either temporarily raise your workstation privileges or have them install a secondary browser for you.
