On Sept. 30, 2009, ACA International held the official grand opening for its federal government affairs office in Washington, D.C. President Karolyn Rubin welcomed guests and congratulated the many ACA members whose commitment to the association's legislative and regulatory initiatives led to the purchase of the Washington, D.C., building. She then cut a ceremonial red ribbon and welcomed guests inside for a reception. The following day, nearly two dozen ACA members met with members of Congress to encourage their support when considering bills affecting the credit and collection industry.
